Our energy industry creates jobs and economic investments and when it is hit with frivolous lawsuits, all the progress disappears. Lawsuits against oil and gas have done nothing for our parish except cost us energy jobs and wages.

While other parishes have chosen to sue the energy industry, costing our state jobs and wages while delivering $0 for coastal restoration, Terrebonne Parish has stood firm against baseless coastal lawsuits for a decade, preserving the future of industry in the parish. We can’t go back now. This year’s Parish President election can affect the future of the industry in Terrebonne Parish.

In recent debates, candidates weighed in on the future of the lawsuits.

So, what do the candidates have to say about it?

Watch their remarks in the above videos to see each candidate’s distinct answer to this important question in two recent debates.
